Stefanie Fair began her career as a professional child actress, singer and dancer on television (‘The Facts Of Life’, ‘Punky Brewster’, ‘Married With Children’ and ‘Blossom’) among numerous national advertising campaigns.
Stefanie and Black-Eyed Peas front-woman Fergie (Stacy Ferguson) founded the 3-part harmony girl-group ‘Wild Orchid’. They emerged in 1993, scoring a major record contract with RCA. Wild Orchid released three albums during their ten-year career and hosted two successful seasons of “The Great Pretenders” Saturday mornings on ABC/Fox Family. Stefanie polished her craft, continually writing and producing new material. Ultimately, she broke out as a songwriter-producer (see: “MY DISCOGRAPHY.”)
On April 20th 2016, Stefanie can be seen in the cast of Bravo’s docu-series
“There Goes the Motherhood” with follows 6 southland moms – as they face a myriad of challenges, relationships, child-rearing and fun times.
Stefanie is the mother of four children – Ellington (9) Ella (8) London (7) and Rocky (3.) While handling the demands of a busy home with young children, she remains an in-demand songwriter who brings clever, catchy and unique ideas to every session. She is a true woman of today who balances an intense work schedule with family, personal fitness, an extraordinary sense of style and vibrant friendships.
Stefanie lives in Brentwood with her record producer/musician/executive husband Ron Fair and their family. She enjoys vigorous exercise, hip-hop dancing, hiking, trending fashions and simple-yet-elegant dining.
This is a retrospective of my entire life, including many of the commercials, shows, music videos and great memories. This was a gift from my husband, and was shown at my 40th birthday party for our close friends. In seventeen minutes, my entire life goes “whoosh”
…. The best part being…. The children, family, and the love we share.
The highlight of my musical journey was WILD ORCHID – on RCA Records. Stacy “Fergie” Ferguson, Renee Sandstrom and I were best friends … becoming a girl-group as teenagers. We recorded three albums, made several videos (you can see them on YouTube) had a hit TV show – “The Great Pretenders” on Fox/ABC and toured the world. We had the time of our lives, even with the endless hard work… Wild Orchid just did not break through. You may remember “Talk To Me” “Supernatural” or our first Billboard hit “At Night I Pray.” We were constantly on television- performing; dancing, singing, hosting. Now I am a hard-working mom, trying to instill a strong work ethic into my children… who are on Mommy’s path – to music – and the arts.
I polished my songwriting craft. I broke out as a songwriter-producer with “Finally” (co-written Jon Legend - performed on the Grammys) “Losing My Ground, both on Fergie’s 5-times platinum album ‘The Duchess.” I placed songs on the multi-platinum album “Doll Domination” by the Pussycat Dolls, the platinum Canadian debut “Girlicious,” American Idol’s Alison Iraheta; Platinum Aussie Vanessa Amorossi, Female Guitar Goddess Orianthi, and Mylie Cyrus. I was co-writer producer for Geffen Records Latin duo Prima J. I’ve done many voice-overs and kid’s theme songs –Genius Brands “Martha & Friends” “Giselle and the Green Team;” CBS’s “the Slumber Party Girls;” "Dance Revolution" and “the Bratz.” I just wrote and produced 52 songs for “Thomas Edison’s Secret Lab” on Comcast’s "Kid Genius” channel, and 14 songs for “Baby Genius – Proud Explorer.”
